Since graduating from the University of Brighton in 2007 with a BA Degree in Fashion Textiles, Alice is predominantly a printed textile designer, making digital pattern for the fashion and homeware markets.
For the last 11 years she has been a freelance designer working remotely, building a reputation based on her expertise in hands-on techniques such as drawing, painting and collage. Designing unique work for global high-street to high-end brands such as Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, DKNY, BIBA, John Lewis, Monsoon, Boden, Gap, Reiss and Marks & Spencer.
After returning to her hometown of Faversham, Kent in 2019, Alice started exploring different artistic disciplines and began painting on canvas.
She found that her textiles and painting related and compliment each other.
Alice’s first exhibition was in 2020, held in Oyster Bay House, Faversham.
At this time her paintings often depicted lush, tropical scenes brimming with saturated colour and movement, an expression of escapism during a time of restricted freedom within the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Alice now lives in Margate where she feels inspired by her surroundings.
Her newest paintings often referencing local nature in abstract form, seas, skies, sunsets, gardens and land.
