The Palace is a small, cosy, independent cinema in Broadstairs next to Viking Bay. Housed in a lovely listed building, it’s been a cinema since the mid-60s and welcomes local and visitor audiences 7 days a week. In addition to the big new releases the Palace specialises in screening independent film from around the world as well as classics and monthly silent film with live piano accompaniment. It has also taken a leading role in researching and sharing the cinema and film histories of Broadstairs and its neighbours Margate and Ramsgate.
