Profile Description: I have been a British Sign Language (BSL)/English Interpreter on the NRCPD National Register for over 15 years.
In addition, since 2019, I have been an NRCPD Registered Lipspeaker. This means that I can work with a wide variety of Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people who use British Sign Language or Sign Supported English or Lipreading (with or without supporting signs).
Based north east of Canterbury, I can work face to face (across Kent, London or further afield) or remotely (Zoom, MS Teams etc). I have interpreted in a variety of domains such as
– heritage (eg: tours of museums of historical houses and museums)
– business (eg: office interpreting, interviews, training courses)
– arts & theatre (eg: tours, rehearsals, front of stage stage interpreting)
– community (eg: parent/teacher meetings, medical appointments)
Opening hours - Details: Generally, I'm available weekdays, evenings and weekends subject to other booking demands at the time.
There is a particular shortage of BSL/English Interpreters across Kent, and more especially so for Lipspeakers. Therefore, please do try to book as far in advance as possible, although it can still be worth asking if it's short notice as I may have had a recent cancellation in my diary.
