Art
Most of my art is created on paper using pencils, oil pastel and sometimes fabric paint which I also use on silk. Subjects include but are not limited to flowers and plants, cats, art for contemplation including symbols and decorative pictures.
Stencil art has been part of my practice for about 40 years. I cut these stencils by hand and most of the stencil art is for A6 handmade cards although I also create stencil art pictures. I used to airbrush each card from the stencils, but I have now scanned the designs and print them myself using a desktop inkjet printer, onto English watercolour card with the surface prepared for digital print.
There are usually some cards in stock, available from my website online store, but I am always happy to print the amount of cards you would like to order. I can post cards to you or you can make an appointment to visit me in Tunbridge Wells to collect them. The webstore does not list all cards so please see my main website for ranges of blank inside cards which include flowers, cats, mandalas, Easter and Christmas cards. Boxes of Cards
5 cards of the same design are packed in a card box with a clear window on the front. Some design series of cards, e.g. 4 small flowers, are also packed in a box if you buy one of each of these flower cards.
I am developing different ways of using stencils in my cards and artwork, e.g. line drawings made from stencils and hand painted pochoir prints.
I also can print most of my other artwork as cards, and this other artwork is often available as giclee prints. There are usually a few prints in stock, otherwise I get these printed to order.

I design and make hand sewn ladies clothes. Mostly bridal wear, evening and occasion wear and luxury day dresses, blouses, skirts, jackets, coats and suits (jacket with a dress or skirt). NO trousers; I am a dress lady. I make all the paper patterns for these. Online you will find a small selectin of some of my designs and examples of simple sketches for designs, or ideas for designs. I have several photographic and sketch portfolios that you can look through at an appointment, and I can also sketch out ideas for dresses a swell. Sometimes it helps if you contact me before an appointment with a “brief” of what you want, e.g. a short winter dress with long sleeves and a straight skirt. I will then e-mail a series of sketches for you to look at before an appointment so that you can think through these before visiting me.

I specialise in creating unique hand embroidery which I make using either threads or glass beads. I have several portfolios of embroideries you can choose a design from for your dress or I can draw you a unique embroidery design.
Fabrics – I work mostly with silk and other natural fibres such as cotton, wool, linen, and also work with artificial fibres such as viscose and acetate. I occasionally work with Polyester, but prefer the natural fibres. I have many trade fabric suppliers from whom I order cut lengths of fabric for which I have quite a few swatches that you can look through. If not I can order them from my suppliers. These are mostly free of charge but there is sometimes a small charge for a swatch. Some suppliers have organic cottons in their collections.

Ready to Wear Clothes and Scarves – I have a small collection of ready to wear clothes that you can buy “off the peg” as well as some ready made hand painted silk scarves, and hand embellished silk stoles in my webstore or which you can view at an appointment.
