Richard Belfield

Film maker, author, dramatist, journalist, screenplay writer and business man. I have made documentary programmes for all the main UK channels plus Discovery, National Geographic, PBS and others in the USA as well as al Jazeera. I am the lead or sole author of five books, all for major publishers and on a wide range of subjects. I am currently working on a hybrid art form crossing comic book art with traditional video formats. Am an enthusiastic potter but very much a beginner.

I have helped set up and run businesses in book production and publishing, regional magazines, food production and retail, independent television production and commercial radio.

I am eclectic – on the advisory boards of two charities, one Muslim, one Jewish as well as an educational foundation in the Middle East.

Endlessly fascinated by the intricacies and possibilities of life. I am interested in artistic collaboration with others – especially anyone involved in the creation of comic book art. I am about to launch a podcast website, dealing with the undercurrents of life.
