Profile Description
The Huguenot Museum is the first and only museum of Huguenot history in Britain. It tells an important story of Britain’s first refugees, the crafts, trades and skills they brought with them and the impact their contribution has had on the development of our country.
The Huguenot Museum was established as a trust and registered charity in 2014. The drive for this new museum came from our sister charity The French Hospital. The French Hospital was founded in 1718 and they still provide care for Huguenot descendants today. Their collections, of paintings, silver, prints and other objects, charting the history of Huguenot refugees are now cared for by The Huguenot Museum.
