Profile Description
I am a French artist. My materials are not fixed and respond to the idea that I seek to explore. Lately, I have been working with wooden strips that I bend to create abstract forms characterised by lightness and transparency.
whilst my practice is not about environmental sustainability, it is one of my greatest concern and I aim to source materials and use processes that are not damaging for our environment.

Interview
I wanted to make art but it was not on my parents agenda. They wanted me to have a career in science, like them. 🙂
Hiding behind my Math books and drawing Disney cartoon.
When I became a mum, I wanted to find something to do that would be easy to manage (stop-start) in between feeding times and started pencil drawing.
I went back to university (university of Kent) part-time to study Fine Art and graduated in 2017. During that time, my work changed quite dramatically and took a turn when my mum passed away and I started to look into the meaning of spacetime. From portrait pencil drawings my work became more abstract and my degree show was an installation responding to the idea of spacetime and the non-linearity of time.
finding an unusual material, a form may trigger a strong pull to try something new
I love when the form starts to emerge and to feel that it is working.
Recently there was a positive feedback on the gallery book and I did not know the person. It was very encouraging to read this from a stranger.
In a conversation with some viewers at the preview of a group show, their face changed and radiated when they realised I was the artist that had made a work they liked. It was a spontaneous and genuine reaction that was heartwarming and validating.
Exploring and discovering
Keep making and being in more group shows.

To be in my studio, listening to a series or a great podcast and, of course, sharing some quality times with my family, especially with my daughters who are growing up so fast.:)
