Forged in Creativity.
We creatively design and traditionally hand-craft one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery in our workshop, which is situated next to our shop, just a stone’s throw away from Canterbury Cathedral.
The inimitable creative partnership of Husband and Wife, Goldsmith and Designer.
As a Designer with an in depth knowledge of Gemstones and Diamond grading, Rose loves to combine ideas and inspirations in colour and flowing movement. She possesses a unique way of getting to know each client personally, ensuring design commissions truly capture elements of their personality and convey emotion.
This is the ideal complement to André, an Award-Winning Master Goldsmith, who has over thirty years experience at the bench. His close relationship with Rose allows him to fully appreciate her creative vision. He takes the piece from the page and brings them to life with balance, harmonious form and enduring beauty.
André and Rose were schooled by a German Master, just like the original founder Ortwin Thyssen, in the ancient practices of the traditional jewellery maker. Over the last four decades they have sought to continue and hone this art. Combining their talents and bringing originality and authenticity together. All pieces are designed and hand-crafted in-house. We use the finest and highest-quality materials to ensure that they stand the test of time.
We pride ourselves in the signature beauty, variation, perfection and precision of our jewellery. Welcome. Visit our shop to experience our work first-hand. If you have a design idea you would like to explore, please contact us to arrange a Design Consultation. We feel incredibly blessed to work together and be trusted with such valuable work.
You can follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more images and tales from the bench.
Appointments available from 11am to 4pm, please call/email to book.

I studied at art college, learning of how light fell on objects. On leaving, I assisted in fashion but, still life images in my portfolio gave me my first commissions. Two years later I had the portfolio and confidence to face the world of London advertising. Got my first studio shooting campaigns and having entries in D&AD. Soon, calls from the automotive world came. It was what I needed. Shooting autos challenged me more, in studio and location. A world I loved, large objects shot around the world in all the places I dreamed of. Europe, USA and S/Africa. The challenge of large shoots over many weeks with large crews gave me the rewards I wanted – building large sets in strange places, battling the weather, languages, waiting for the right light and making friends around the world. I would also take my own pictures, taking extra days to see more of where I was invading. The volume of these personal pictures grew and I felt I needed to show them. I did this in many ‘One Man Shows’ and joint exhibitions. The response was surprising, selling my personal work felt the same as passing a poster I had shot, or opening a magazine to see my pictures. After many years, my portfolio has become so varied and to make sense of such a volume is difficult. I continue to work in advertising. My love of photography never wanes, I get the same thrill from every picture I take. My clients are vast and varied.

Colony was formed in October 2017 following an exhibition at Sun Pier House gallery called “The Magnificent Seven”. The exhibition was a great success and Simon Mills set about forming Colony which included six of the artists who were part of the “The Magnificent Seven” show together with other like minded artists.
Simon says “originally I formed it as a support group for Medway artists as making art is often a solitary pursuit and being part of a group can counteract feelings of isolation. It has grown since then and apart from showing our work together, we intend to publish books that will celebrate the artistic culture of our area”. Colony has already published two books of poetry by Bill Lewis.
Colony members work in a variety of mediums, Painting, Photography, Collage and Mixed Media but they share a passion for art and culture and believe in producing work to the highest standards.
“Another cracking show – always fresh and exciting and providing the audience with some much-needed art therapy. Well done Colony Artists!!”

There’s something irresistible about the combination of summer, the seaside and wonderful music in the air. The Deal Festival is a unique celebration of all three – great classical and contemporary music from some of the world’s finest music-makers, as well as theatre, opera, cinema and dance.
Deal Music & Arts has been bringing the best in arts and culture to East Kent for nearly 40 years, and in that time we have welcomed many of the world’s greatest artists. Over those years, we have evolved from a summer festival to a year-round organisation that maintains that vibrant festival and supports a series of education programmes. We are very proud to benefit the cultural life and local economy of East Kent.
We bring the highest standards of artistic experience, supporting local and regional communities, and we welcome artists of international stature. We present events in a range of locations, from historic castles and gardens to art galleries, from theatres to ancient churches.
We run a series of music and arts education programmes that support around a third of the schools in our area.
We are a catalyst for arts partnerships and provide platforms for artistic collaboration, creativity and innovation.
We contribute to the social, economic and cultural regeneration of East Kent.
We inspire, inform, entertain and educate.
You can experience Deal Music & Arts in a variety of ways. You can visit our 16-day Summer Festival and enjoy world class music and art in this beautiful and historic corner of England, which encompasses the ancient ports of Deal, Sandwich and Dover. You can take part in our inclusive Summer Music School. You can participate in one or more of our education programmes, or you can work with us as a volunteer, becoming part of the Deal Music & Arts family.
Details of Deal Festival 2023 will be posted as and when we get them.

We work with artists, creative organisations and those who want to make the world better through cultural engagement.
We’re a small family business with big ambition! Founded and run by Medway residents Heather and Ed, Sun Pier House is an evolving project that started by chance in 2012. We’re now over 10 years in and still have a long list of ideas for the space that we’re working towards…
A creative arts space and venue split across 3 floors; we are home to an exhibition gallery, 26 artist studios, a Community Hire Room and a cafe with a view.
We’re passionate about showcasing the artwork of South East creatives and local community art initiatives at leading shopping and leisure destinations. Our aim is to provide an inclusive, joyful and uplifting experience for visitors whilst enabling local artists, the opportunity to exhibit their work in locations that make art more accessible to the wider community.
Run by artists for artists, our exhibitions provide a unique opportunity to meet the artists themselves.
