All Collective - Group

Colony was formed in October 2017 following an exhibition at Sun Pier House gallery called “The Magnificent Seven”. The exhibition was a great success and Simon Mills set about forming Colony which included six of the artists who were part of the “The Magnificent Seven” show together with other like minded artists.

Simon says “originally I formed it as a support group for Medway artists as making art is often a solitary pursuit and being part of a group can counteract feelings of isolation. It has grown since then and apart from showing our work together, we intend to publish books that will celebrate the artistic culture of our area”. Colony has already published two books of poetry by Bill Lewis.

Colony members work in a variety of mediums, Painting, Photography, Collage and Mixed Media but they share a passion for art and culture and believe in producing work to the highest standards.

‘Precious Kent’ is an eclectic range of fellow award-winning designer/makers from Kent who have come together for a selling exhibition of handcrafted designs and art.
Their celebration of the best of British talent offers a treasure trove of creativity, innovative design and superb craftsmanship, using a variety of interesting and beautiful materials .
During the exhibitions visitors can join collectors, design aficionados and buy directly from the makers or commission special one-off pieces.

Set up just after WWI by local music lovers with the aim of bringing professional musicians to the town and giving Faversham audiences the opportunity to go to live concerts. Over the years, the club has hosted some of the finest musicians.

We are the Profanity Embroidery Group, and we do exactly as it says on the tin – we embroider profanities. Some people think we are besmirching the gentle art of needlecraft with our puerile potty mouths – we know this ‘cos they like to tell us so.

The Creative Pilgrims were set up in 2019 by Liz Garnett and Alexandra le Rossignol. Since then they have led artists on two pilgrimages and responded to their experience with exhibitions in Chartham, Canterbury and Dover.

Canterbury Choral Society has forged a reputation for outstanding levels of performance, and is one of the most accomplished groups of its kind in the South East.

Established in 2021, Knot Works is a collaborative creative organisation founded by three friends.
We host events, workshops and exhibitions. Through our work we bring people together to learn, share and grow.

We perform a wide range of choral works around our district, with world-class soloists and the Festival Chamber Orchestra.

A self-funding and voluntary organisation which promotes, supports and provides a network for our vibrant artistic community in Deal and surrounding areas.

A group formed by Elspeth (Billie) Penfold that delivers funded arts based projects through performed poetry. Through this group Billie uses digital media, sound and locative mapping to create hybrid, in person and digital walking events.
