Observational drawing is Ann’s particular interest. It is also the starting point for stencil-based paintings and original prints. Her images combine an eye for detail with an imaginative interpretation.
Drawings, sketchbooks, original prints and paintings are exhibited locally and internationally. Artwork is available to purchase from galleries (see News page) and Ann’s studio.
Formerly based in Ruthin in North Wales Ann is now living and working near Sevenoaks in Kent.
From 1995-1999 Ann studied Illustration at Yale College (Coleg Cambria) and the North Wales College of Art and Design (Glyndwr University) graduating with First Class Honours in Design.
A two year placement at Chester Zoological Gardens as Artist in Residence provided her with her first studio and the opportunity to develop and broaden her practice.
She has been awarded Arts Council funding for research projects carried out through visual diaries, drawings and sketchbooks.
The studio is open by appointment and visitors are warmly welcomed to Open Studios held annually in June.
