A calm creative coworking space to think, work and ‘mend your nets’ facilitated by accredited Life Coach and actress Emma Dewhurst. Perfect for creatives, artists, work-at-home freelancers and creative solopreneurs.
Emma founded the space ‘for people and projects in progress’ in response to the proverb, ‘When fishermen can’t go to sea, they mend their nets’ – which her husband said to her one day during particularly challenging times.
Mending the Nets provides weekly, scheduled time and space to:
- Do the creative projects you always put off in favour of other things
- Reward yourself by spending time on your own creative work
- Find accountability and ‘permission to think’ within the group
- Work alone, in community with others
- Start the morning with clarity in a calm, facilitated space
The space includes an introduction by Emma; a short guided breathing exercise; and then 3 blocks of focus time of 30 minutes each, with a 5 minute break in between each block.
At the end of the session we come together to share the process of the space, what worked for you this week, how you used the time etc. There are often powerful insights into how to work and think more productively in this reflection time.
Another meaning of ‘to mend’ is ‘to restore to health’: this space is all about restoring a work-life balance to creative thinkers and do-ers. Think and work better, in community with others.
All welcome – booking via Eventbrite link to all sessions until 27 April 2023.
